Khadija Ayesha Campbell, 35, was arguing with another 35-year-old woman at the Summerland Apartments in the 1800 block of Gableridge Turn in Woodbridge just before 4:10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 11, when a 59-year-old man tried to intervene, Prince William County police said.
Campbell pulled out a knife and stabbed both victims to the upper body before fleeing the apartment. Officers arrived on scene and rendered first aid to both victims who were then flown to area hospitals, where they are expected to survive.
A police K-9 and Fairfax County police helicopter searched for Campbell, who remains on the run. No additional injuries were reported. Officers have obtained arrest warrants for Campbell on charges of two counts of malicious wounding.
